Artisan Themes by David Yeiser

David Yeiser of Design Intellection is launching a new WordPress theme market and reference blog, Artisan Themes.

Artisan Themes will essentially be two things: First and foremost a marketplace for quality, high-value WordPress themes; and second, my new home for WordPress related resources, tips, tricks, articles and more.

Best of luck to David on the venture.

Calf-Point WordPress Theme

Carlo Perassi has created Calf Point, a child theme of Sandbox based on Moo-Point.

It was not possible to import the slightly changed menu but the CSS is the same. I can say Calf is 95% equal to Moo… after all it’s a child, not a clone.

Carlo took the bull by the horns and worked Moo-Point into a child theme after a brief discussion we had in the forums. Look for the Moo-Point theme to be fully converted to a child theme (hopefully sooner than later).

Moo-Point is mentioned and analyzed.

I think that the best two words to describe this theme by Will Wilkins are: eminent readability — I was impressed the first time I saw Moo Point, and I remain impressed.

Demetris also goes into why text-transform:uppercase in CSS can cause issues in certain languages.

Simplist - Moo-Point With a Different Name

My version of Moo-Point hasn’t changed names. However, easternwest has posted the Simplest WordPress theme built on Sandbox with a CSS file almost identical to Moo-Point.
