That’s pretty rotten.
The GPL needs a clause that reads something to the effect of “be cool about it all.”
Self-enforced of course. And this would definitely break it.
Agreed, David. I would have felt better about it had there been some mention in the post that the theme was a realignment of Moo-Point. Rather than “Hey, look what I made.”
I have addressed the issue. I sent Will an email with an apology, and have gotten no reply. The theme now links to him twice. I apologize, I simply forgot to link in the footer, and I really don’t want to be “that guy”. I hope everyone will forgive me for the mistake. Feel free to email me with any nasty comments… ;_
@Jason - I didn’t receive the email you mentioned.
I understand if you for got to include an attribution link. Since the theme is released under a GPL license (because Sandbox is GPL), you are not actually required to include a link in the theme. However, I can only ask that people not try to pass it off as only their work.
Feel free to contact me to shoot me an email from the contact page on this site if you want to discuss anything further.
Will, the email was sent to
contact at williswilkins dot com.@Jason - I got the email, thanks.
