I like to play with Linux on my laptop. There is something more fun about it than Windows! I have downloaded and tried almost every distribution over the past 2 years. To date, Ubuntu has been to only one I have really stuck to using. I also use Ubuntu Server on an old desktop set up as a development LAMP server.
Canonical, the Ubuntu Linux commercial sponsor, is set to release version 7.10 Thursday - 10-18-2007.
Some of my favorite new features:
- Support for multiple monitors
- Compiz Fusion integration
- Full read and write capability for all Windows partitions, including NTFS
- Better wireless card support
