Sorry for any added confusion. A bit dazed with all the entries, comments, judges, etc.

I think I’ll write up something just now on the Sandbox Forums for using Template: sandbox + functions.php as a starting point for those who’d like to expound upon it.

Now I’m going to stand in the blazing heat for ten minutes to clear my brain.

Hey Scott. So far I have only made the one version available for download. However, using the functions.php to allow an admin options menu similar to previous versions of Sandbox, is definitely a plan for the future. I just haven't had the time to do that just yet.

Future features of Moo-Point would be to allow layout and color changes from the theme's admin panel. We will just have to see if people want that and if I do not take the theme in a different direction.

Thanks for the heads up on it though. I know a lot of people do not know the power or functionality you can add with the theme functions file.

I know you've made your design available in a couple formats for download. Have a look at how I've packaged them on sndbx.org. In the 'template' folder, you can also include a functions.php file, with which you can hook wp_head and wp_footer, eg, for inserting scripts, etc, as well as creating a theme options menu. It's a lesser-known WordPress feature.
