Yesterday, Flickr rolled out options to change the layout of your photos page and a new level of photo organization - collections. I noticed that Flickr was running extremely slow on Monday. Now it is apparent that they were implementing the new features.
To change the layout of your photo page head over to your account preferences. There are currently 6 different layouts to choose from. “Customize your Photos page so it’s a little more “you”. Choose between 18 small or 5 medium sized photos, and decide if you’d like sets, or collections, or neither in the right hand column.”
The addition of collections now adds one more level of organization to your photos. Before Tuesday, there were only two levels of photo management, photos and sets. Collections now allow you to organize your sets into similar groups. Check out my thrown together collections.
